Social Media Roundup Week of Aug 1

Here’s the latest news from CPAW NJ!

The perfect caregiver doesn’t exi——
Just kidding. Meet Maryellen from Glen Ridge. She started feeding the 5 cats in her back yard, and she knew that getting them neutered is the best way to prevent the colony from growing. She learned from CPAW NJ how to trap mom, dad and three kittens. She went 5 for 5 this weekend! Thanks, Maryellen. Loving caregivers like you give us the strength to keep going in our fight against a growing outdoor cat population. You were the bright spot during a very tough weekend! More to come on that later.

Our schedule is full with cats and kittens to trap but our volunteers need supplies! 🐈 🐟 Would you please send some tasty food our way? Cats come from near and far when they smell sardines. And Fancy Feast is a yummy food that can be used as bait or as something extra tasty to get reluctant cats to eat while recovering from surgery.

Oscar may be the king, but Sesame always eats first. Do your colony cats eat in a special order?
These calico ladies are our Community Cats of the week. Special thanks to caregiver Vivian who is working hard to make sure their family doesn’t grow and more kittens aren’t born outside!
Lots of things to do this weekend that will help local animals! 😻
👀 Trap-Neuter-Return saves lives!
We cannot continue our lifesaving work without you! Can you spare a couple of hours on a Monday morning in August or September? We need drivers to help bring cats to their spay/neuter appointments. Message us for details. Please share with animal loving friends and family!
